Lumira was born as a proposal to create an app that connects people from their inner world through books. More than a social network, it is a safe and intimate space where readers can share emotions, reflections, and literary recommendations with others who feel the same.
Branding • UX/UI • Design System • Prototyping

Readers often have few opportunities to share what they truly feel or think about the books that impact them. Most literary social platforms focus on reviews or ratings, but not on emotional connection or intimate dialogue between people with shared affinities.

Lumira proposes a minimalist and emotionally warm digital environment where readers can create private or group conversations around themes or books that inspire them. The experience is designed to prioritize meaningful connection, calm, and authenticity.

The proposal adopts a sober and minimalist style, with a neutral color palette and warm orange accents that bring energy and focus. The friendly typography, neutral photography, and abstract icons create a coherent, elegant, and functional visual identity.

The visual identity that accompanies Lumira was created to reflect its essence: closeness, connection, warmth, and authenticity. Every element — from the colors to the typography — responds to a carefully considered concept designed to convey trust, inspiration, and dynamism.

Apps like Goodreads and Fable were analyzed to understand their strengths and limitations. We observed a strong focus on quantitative elements (ratings, lists), visually dense interfaces, and limited user connection. The opportunity was to design an environment that prioritizes the reader’s emotional experience and visual warmth.
The user's need is to be able to share reflections and emotions about the books they read. To connect genuinely with like-minded people. To feel comfortable and safe in the digital environment.

Main app structure: Home - Connect/Clubs - Discover - Library - Profile.

Authenticity: Every element should convey honesty and closeness.
Simplicity: Clean interface, clear hierarchy, no distractions.
Warmth: Use of color and form to create an emotionally safe atmosphere.
Balance: Integrating function and aesthetics without sacrificing accessibility.
